Rules for being a Planet

Monday, March 22nd, 2004

Found a really good article from a link on Slashdot. Read yourself and find out the nature of Planethood.

My favorite bit from the article, its very good.
Location Rules. “Let’s use an object’s location as the criterion to establish or reject it from planethood.”

If biologists adopted this kind of criterion for species classification, a cowboy would become a cow when he herds his cattle! Location is an important factor for realtors, but I don’t think it serves anybody satisfactorily for planet classification.

Wahoo New Server is up

Saturday, March 13th, 2004

I got the basics on the new server up and running, hopefully i’ll have everything moved over to it by the end of the month. For now its up on one of my extra domains, bluga.net. I might start using that for my main email address, so much shorter then joshuaeichorn.com, and its easier to spell.

Working out

Sunday, March 7th, 2004

I had my first workout with my personal trainer today. I was dead within 30 minutes. There is a definite difference in intensity between what i’ve been doing on my own.

I’m also getting close to having templateable.com finished which is good cause i could use the extra money. Now to just push myself enough to get it finished up.

Gym Membership

Saturday, March 6th, 2004

I got a memebership at 24 hour fitness today. We get a really great deal at work so its only costing me $20 a month. However I also paid for 18 sessions with a personal trainer so this whole thing is going to cost me more money then i really wanted it too. But I don’t think I make really good progress without a trainer so I guess this is the way to go.

Of course when i got home and got the mail spending all the money on for a personal trainer didn’t sound so smart anymore since some parking tickets I never paid in LA found me. There goes the rest of the tax refund :-(

Rolling down the Tracks

Wednesday, March 3rd, 2004

Live has been rolling one, yesterday I got my paperwork sent in to get my passport renewed I should have the new one in the next 6 weeks.

I’ve been spending my free time writing a website for a friend trying to make a bit of extra money. I’ve also been looking for a new hosting company for my various websites, Myles found a couple options looks like im going to be going with SERVER4YOU, looks like a nice mix of cheap hosting and decent support.

If anyone has a another hosting solution or a reason why going with SERVER4YOU will haunt me let me know.
